Day 90-CorePower Yoga-Kai Trinh
Peace does not mean there is no noise, trouble or hard work…
it simply means there is calmness in the heart.
Sittin’ with crossed legs, closed eyes and deep breath, tryin’ to locate those “groundin’ into Mother Earth”, sitz bones; Kai Trinh opened our Core 2 class with this “user-friendly” definition of “Peace” at CorePower Yoga Hillcrest.

Kai Trinh
How happy the blissful YoYos were to realize that the blarrin’ noise of honkin’ horns that seemingly follow the YoYoYogimobile, the trouble of findin’ a perfect, dog friendly spot for the “terminal case of separation anxiety” Ru and the hard work of 105 consecutive YoYo butt kickin’ classes; could not disturb the peace, love and happiness we were feelin’ in this 100 degree space packed with smilin,’ happy yogis who come to this yoga powerhouse to chisel their body and experience that sometimes illusive, calmness of heart.
Knowin’ Kai had trained in the “most excellent” classrooms of Annie Carpenter and Lisa Wolford at Santa Monica’s renowned Yogaworks, and for years, has increased his vast knowledge at CorePower Yoga while masterfully teachin’ eager students and blossomin’ instructors; the “humbly admittin’, developin’ an eye for the excellent” YoYos knew, our San Diego adventure just wouldn’t be complete without inclusion of this stalwart studio and talented teacher.

Open Heart~Calm Mind
Hangin’ on for dear life in this steamy, sweatin’, mat on mat class, this “take no prisoners” instructor, began at our psychedelic Yogitoes and worked up to our soakin’ wet eyeballs in this feel-good flow, ensurin’ that every “up for the challenge” yogi was thoroughly primed for the deepest, stretchiest, hanumanasana (monkeypose splits) in their seasoned history. Throughly wrung out and worked through, it never ceases to amaze us how just one mere hour of perfectly led CorePower Yoga can so completely challenge these YoYo bodies and clear the muddled path of our now peaceful mind.
Standin’ like a beacon of light for the embarrassingly pourin’ YoYos, the signature alter of the sparklin’ CorePower Yoga shower stood at the ready… rinsin’ away what we no longer needed – makin’ way for a most excellent half-moon lit, San Diego night.
